Thirty Women entrepreneurs from the central division graduated from the three-day Women in Business Training. The graduation ceremony was held at the Fiji Commerce & Employers Federation (FCEF) Boardroom in Suva today.
Dr Nur Bano Ali, the Chair of Business Assistance Fiji (BAF), delivered an inspiring speech during the graduation ceremony, encouraging the women to continue striving for excellence in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
The training took place from 18 April 2023 to 20 April 2023. This program was conducted by BAF in collaboration with The Centre for Excellence in Financial Inclusion (CEFI), based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, under the ADB Programme. Fifty women from various business sectors participated in the three-days Women in Business training session.
The training covered essential topics such as digital financial literacy, e-commerce, business planning, and debt management. These skills are crucial for women entrepreneurs to thrive in today’s ever-evolving business landscape. The training program aimed to empower participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate challenges and seize opportunities effectively.
The graduation took place after seven months because of the post-training activities that were conducted. These activities included creating a Facebook page, encouraging MSMEs to join the e-commerce platforms, providing debt counselling, and offering financial preparation assistance.
BAF will deliver the certificates to the participants in Western and Northern Divisions.
