An E-commerce Workshop was organized by Business Assistance Fiji (BAF) at the Mercure Hotel in Nadi on 8 June 2023.
The participants at the workshop were Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from various sectors in Nadi.
By conducting this workshop, BAF is creating an awareness on the importance of e-commerce to the MSMEs in Fiji.
During the workshop BAF, General Manager, Mr. Ramesh Chand provided an overview of the organization, activities under BAF, and how the MSMEs can benefit from it.
He also went over the application process for the Business Link Pacific (BLP) Business Support Grant with the participants and tested the BLP Climate Diagnostic Tool.
Trainer, Ms. Maria Ronna explained to the participants about different types of social media and digital marketing.
She further emphasized to the participants about the importance of having a business page on social media platforms and provided them with details on how to take photos of their products.
The participants were excited when Ms. Maria introduced Canva a free-to-use online graphic design tool to them.
Participants spent time exploring the tool and a few of them were able to design logos for their business.
Ms. Maria also encouraged the MSME owners to keep their business social media page active by posting at least twice a week.
