Expressing Gratitude: A Message from Business Assistance Fiji

The two-day MSME Conference 2024 closed on a high note with a appreciation dinner hosted by the Board and Management of Business Assistance Fiji (BAF) last week Friday 8 March. A total of 210 participants registered and attended the event with 100% attendance for the two days.

Participants were well represented from the Manufacturing, Service, Agriculture, Retailing and other sectors via divisions (Central, Eastern, Western and Northern). The 100% attendance by participants indicating their interest, commitment and support towards BAF and its relevant stakeholders.

We acknowledge the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade, Small & Medium Enterprises, Cooperatives and Communications Hon. Manoa Kamikamica throughout Day One of the conference indicating his support and commitment to moving MSME sector forward into the future. Participants were able to engage and raise questions directly to the Minister, Permanent Secretary and his team during the two days.

BAF had the honours to host Madam Charlotte Darlow the New Zealand High Commission to celebrate the International Women’s Day with the participants. Madam Darlow providing insights on how workplace environment needs to be inclusive and conducive to enable women to perform and contribute  110 per cent. A balancing act is vital for women both personally and professionally as well.
